Run in the heart of Nottingham our online based Wedding Shop has been established since 2013 designing unique and bespoke themed bridal flowers as apart of our Alternative wedding. Founded by Johanna Miller, and inspired by a combination Alternative, Gothic fashion and bespoke themed designs.

Rock 'N' Custom Designs has a large selection of Custom made bridal flowers, home decor, jewellery, accessories and gifts all hand made and bespoke to suite your personality.

How The Alternative Wedding Began.

Rock 'N' Custom Designs once was a little hobby sculpting cute little designs from polymer clay just for fun, which may I had I have never used before. In fact there was a time where I would tell you that I didn't have a creative bone in my body!

These little designs turned into items of quirky jewellery and accessories, then began the custom commissions. I started taking custom orders from friends based on their description of what they were looking for. I then started experimenting with my idea of a unique bridal range.

Excited about my new ideas and desire to build my own little empire I created my new brand, business plan, some prototypes and took my ideas to The Princes Trust- ( A government backed organisation in the UK for budding entrepreneurs ) I had support perfecting my business model and plan and had to present my business to a panel of people very much like the Dragons Den.

The feedback I received was incredible, more than I could hope, they saw my vision, recognised the gap in the market for my unique designs and backed me 100%. They awarded my business with the funds to start Rock 'N' Custom Designs and protect my designs.

I would recommend this experience to any one with a unique business model, and welcome any one who would love to chat and find out more about what we had to do and give any advice.

Hi, I'm Jo, I'm now heading into my late 20's and am Mum to one awesome kid, Jack! Who is currently growing up way to fast. We live and work as a team, he helps out a lot within our business, with live videos, preparing materials and even coming up with some super cute ideas! He also loves to experiment with clay.

I have always been very ambitious, I've worked very hard to get where I am and wouldn't change any of my past or the lessons I have learnt. They say “Do what you love and you'll never work a day in your life” Which I believe to be true, I absolutely love working with you guys on custom creations, taking your vision and making it come true. Being apart of some ones wedding is such a big deal and I am very grateful to work with you on your bespoke themes.

As you can tell I love getting creative, I also love a bit of DIY. I am always working on little projects to make my home a little more interesting. We have our cat, Charlie who is super loving and cuddly! As well as an abundance of fish in our pretty tropical tank. I'll often share photos of these for my fellow you pet lovers.

Other things you will catch Jack and I doing would be going out into nature enjoying long walks, visiting new places and plotting and planning ways to visit and explore new places around the world.
